How does NOW Access work?

2. Login to your account with your secure password.
3. Add funds to your online balance for your selected offer or offers.
4. Pay with your credit card to get (and see) a 25-40% bonus automatically added to your balance.
5. Get your personalized NOW Access card in the mail and use it for all of your current and future purchases at the businesses you’ve selected.
6. Your NOW Access card works like any bank card with the merchant’s own NOW Access terminal. Keep the card for your future NOW Access purchases.
7. No restrictions in stores, no set menus in restaurants and even taxes can be paid with your card. You only pay the tip separately, when applicable.

How does my NOW Access card work?

After an online purchase with one or several store(s) or restaurant(s) of your choice, a NOW Access card with your name will be sent to you by mail. Use this when paying the bill at the store or restaurant you’ve selected in your online account. It works just like a regular bank card. The merchant will be able to see the available funds you’ve applied to his store and give you your bill (with the remaining balance, if any, printed on it). Keep your card with you because you’ll need it for all of your other current and future NOW Access purchases. Also, since this card is made of durable material, we are proud to help reduce our paper and plastic consumption.

If you still have an unused amount allocated for a business, you can put it back into your account for a different NOW Access purchase.

How can I become an Access Plus member and get 40% more value on all of my purchases?

NOW Access already offers 25% more value to every member. An Access Plus subscription allows you to get an additional 15%, for a total of 40% more value on all of your purchases.

Compare getting 40% more value on all of the purchases you make with the cost of an Access Plus membership – the cost of which is paid off in just a few purchases. Anyone who loves enjoying the best of Toronto will love the perks that come with Access Plus.

Special privileges for Access Plus Members :

2 free reservations per month (every month for the duration of your membership) for an upcoming displayed offer.
You don’t have to wait until the day an offer is available online to get the one you want – you can book it in advance. After you make these 2 free reservations in the same month, each additional reservation will cost $5.

Basic memberships do not include free early reservation.

Put any unused balance back into your NOW Access account for up to 6 months after purchase. You can change your mind and transfer any unused repayable balance back into your online wallet. You have up to 6 months after each purchase to put another repayable balance back in your wallet and to make other NOW Access purchases (except for occasional promotional offers).

Regular members have up to 3 months to make these transfers and these transactions are not free.

Get refundable balance sums under $10 automatically transferred back into your account if unused for more than 60 days. This feature ensures that you don’t lose small sums that can be forgotten or left behind in NOW Access your member account.

  • – Business closure: 1-Year Warranty

If a business closes its doors, you are protected for one year. If a business – for which you still have money in your account – closes down during the 12 months following your purchase, we will put the paid sum back into your wallet to use at your discretion for other purchases on NOW Access. However, if a business closes after the first year following your purchase, our warranty ceases and the sum will not be returned. This warranty is an exceptional protection that NOW Access is committed to offer to its members (except occasional promotional offers).

Regular members have a 6-month warranty.

  • – 40% Bonus: 1 year after the purchase date

1-Year on your 40% bonus. To encourage you to visit the stores and restaurants for which there is an applied bonus in your account, and that you may have forgotten, a timer will be displayed in your online wallet. Your 40% bonus is protected for one year starting on the purchase date, then you will only have the paid sum and not the paid sum with bonus (except occasional promotional offers).

Regular members have a 6-month warranty.

  • – Free Renewal

Your Access Plus membership or new Access Plus plan offer will be based on the value of the purchases you made during your subscription.

Exclusive benefit: Access Plus members can use any unused paid amount to pay for new deals with another retailer.

What’s more, you might be eligible for a free auto-renewal, depending on the total amount of purchases you make during your subscription.

  • Access Plus + 40 % 3-month subscription – 45$ (15$/month)
    Free auto-renewal if your total purchases add up to 750$ or more for the whole duration of your subscription (3 months).
  • Access Plus + 40 % 6-month subscription – 60$ (10$/month)
    Free auto-renewal if your total purchases add up to 1000$ or more for the whole duration of your subscription (6 months).
  • Access Plus + 40 % yearly subscription – 87$ (7,25$/month)
    Free auto-renewal if your total purchases add up to 1500$ or more for the whole duration of your yearly subscription.

Important: 40% is the maximum additional value you can get. A Access Plus subscription cannot be combined with other offers – for example, 75% more value promotions for selected retailers. Of course, you can benefit from those promotions, but your 40% will not be added to the 75% you will be getting with that specific type of promotion.

Important: Access Plus subscriptions are not refundable. Free automatic renewals is valid only once, even if you spend the required amount twice.

What are the benefits for regular members who get 25% added value?

Regular members are members with no Access Plus subscription, who enjoy the same privileges:

  • Basic bonus on every purchase made with their account.

Don’t wait until the day the offer is put online to get the one you want, book it in advance for only $5.

Access Plus members have two free reservations each month for the duration of their subscription.

Put back any paid and unused balance back in your NOW Access account for up to 3 months after purchase. A minimum of $2 will be charged for any sum of 10+$ you put back in your wallet. You can change your mind and transfer any unused repayable balance as much as you want for 3 months to make other purchases on NOW Access (except occasional promotional offers).

Access Plus members can make these transfers freely for up to 6 months.

Automatic cash back to your account for any sum (refundable balance) of less than $10 unused for more than 60 days in your account. This feature makes sure that we won’t let you lose little sums often forgotten or left behind in NOW Access member accounts.

  • Business closure: 6-Month Warranty

What are the specific conditions for limited-time promotions?

NOW Access holds once in a while special promotions open to all and for a limited time, for selected businesses. These promotions are those with a higher % bonus than yours (whatever your % or membership status may be).

  • The % offered during a promotion does not add up to your % bonus.

For example : if a rapid sale promotion offers a 50% discount in some businesses, of course you can make a purchase but your bonus will not be added to the 50% already offered.

  • Special offers are final offers and no paid and unused sum/balance regarding these can be put back in your account.
  • 4-month warranty in case of a business closure

If a business for which you still have money in your account closes down during the 4 months following your purchase, we will put the paid sum back in your wallet, to use at your discretion for other purchases on NOW Access. However, if a business closes after the 4 months following your purchase, our warranty ceases and the sum will not be given back.

  • 4-month warranty on your % bonus for a specific promotion

To encourage you to visit the stores and restaurants for which there is an applied bonus in your account, and that you may have forgotten, a timer will be displayed in your online wallet. Your % bonus is protected for 4 months starting on the purchase date, then you will only have the paid sum and not the paid sum with bonus.

I was online before 10:00AM but the deal had already expired at 10:01. Why?

NOW Access’s daily deals go live at 10:00 AM for every $1000 mark. Each restaurant or business is updated for each $1000 mark every few days. However, all it takes is 10 members who get $75 each (before added value) in the first seconds for the deal to be off, even if several hundreds of online users are currently waiting online for the update. However, in order to reach out to more users, the amount allotted for a single transaction on a very popular deal is now limited to $50.

Also, we are always seeking new ideas to improve our services and to find new ways to give you the most popular deals.

Will retailers be able to only see the amount for their business?

Yes, of course. Each retailer will be able to see only the amount for their business by swiping your card on their NOW Access terminal. They will then be able to validate your purchase with solely the amount available for their business. They will not be able to see that total amount you have on your card for other retailers.

Will I be able to check the balance available for every retailer?

Yes. The card balance that shows in your account is adjusted in real time. Also, our wallet feature allows you to use your unused balance to pay for new deals with another retailer.

What are the conditions related to local purchases made at NOW Access’s affiliated businesses?

There are no restrictions and no expiration date for you to spend your available balance (according to the terms and warranty periods of your Access Plus or Regular membership). Therefore, you can buy everything you want when you go to the stores or restaurants for which you have a balance on your NOW Access account. You may enjoy, when applicable, local promotions or discounts offered by the merchant. There is no set menu in restaurants. Taxes on your purchase are also payable with your NOW Access card, but the tip must be paid separately.

And if you still have a paid but unused sum left for a business, you can put it back in your account to make other purchases on NOW Access.

What happens with my unused balance for specific retailers?

Our Cash Back to my Wallet feature allows you to retrieve the money you used to purchase your NOW Access deals. In just a few clicks, you can choose to transfer your repayable balance in your e-wallet, in order to spend it on new deals as you please.

What Is the Repayable Balance?

Automatic Cash Back Feature for Amounts Less than $10

Balances of less than $10 that have been inactive for at least 30 days will automatically be transferred to your wallet. According to our Terms and Conditions, if no transaction has been made during the past month, your repayable balance will be automatically transferred to your wallet. This transaction will be highlighted in your account and clearly mentioned in your monthly account statement.

What happens if a retailer closes its doors?

While we are not legally responsible for retailers that close their doors, we do offer an exceptional 12-month warranty (for Access Plus Members) and six months warranty (for Regular Members) for all retailers online on NOW Access. If a retailer for which you have an amount in your account is closing in the 6 to 12 months following your purchase, we will credit the amount to your e-wallet and you will then be able to use it to take advantage of other deals that are currently online. However, if a retailer closes after the first year following your purchase, our guarantee is no longer applicable and you lose the amount. This feature, along with account notifications, is there to encourage you to visit the stores for which you put up funds. Too many members forget this and leave unused funds and miss great opportunities to go out and discover new and exciting venues.

The maximum amount per retailer that you can put on your card depends on what is left for each deal.

I lost my card. What should I do?

If you do not currently have your personalized card in your possession: your card can be replaced. A $10 fee applies. To get a new card, click here. We will issue a new card and send it by mail. Please note that issuing a new card will deactivate the one you lost and that all your remaining balances will be transferred to your new card.

Is my personal information protected?

Yes. From the moment you’re connected to the NOW Access and throughout your transactions, you are navigating a secured website guaranteed by an SSL certificate from Thawte, a certification authority. You should also note that we do not retain your credit card number in our database and that we do not share your personal information with anyone. Furthermore, all transactions are processed with the help of the Paysafe platform, which has practically become a monetary standard on the web.

What if I am disappointed with what is offered by a retailer upon my visit?

At NOW Access, we make sure to select restaurants and retailers that offer a wide range of interesting products and services. Retailers and restaurants regularly change their offering, and you’ll certainly find something to your taste upon your next visit. We cannot give refunds if you are disappointed with your meal or a purchase you made, but you are encouraged to share your concerns directly with the retailer.
However, our wallet feature allows you to use your unused balance to pay for new deals with another retailer.
